Grizz Gaming acquires Maurice “Reesedagod” Delaney and no. 7 overall pick in 2023 NBA 2K League Draft from Lakers Gaming

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, today announced the team has acquired ReeseDaGod (Maurice Delaney), the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft and a 2024 second round pick from Lakers Gaming. In exchange, Grizz Gaming sends the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft, a 2023 third round pick and a 2024 first round pick to Lakers Gaming.

ReeseDaGod averaged 19.6 points, 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game for Lakers Gaming in 2022. The Chicago native also ranked second in points per game in the 2022 NBA 2K League Playoffs averaging 24.0 points per game on 60.0% shooting, including 58.1% from 3-point range. ReeseDaGod also helped Wizards District Gaming to its first NBA 2K League Championship in Season 2.

Grizz Gaming now owns the No. 7 and No. 23 overall picks in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft. Jrod (Justin Rodriguez) and Spartxn (Josh McHatten) remain on the Grizz Gaming roster.
