Grizz Gaming completes three-team trade and acquires no. 12 overall pick in 2022 NBA 2K League Draft

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, today announced the team has completed a three-team trade with Magic Gaming and Pacers Gaming. Grizz Gaming acquired the No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft from Magic Gaming, and in exchange, Grizz Gaming sends Vandi (Zach Vandivier) to Pacers Gaming.

“Vandi has been a terrific player for us the last three seasons. We drafted Vandi as a 19-year-old, and we’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow as a person and as a player over the last three years,” said Lang Whitaker, Grizz Gaming Head Coach and General Manager. “We wish him nothing but the best going forward.”

Vandi appeared in 27 games last season with Grizz Gaming and averaged a team-high 25.7 points, 10.0 assists and 0.9 rebounds while shooting 52.6% from the field and 48% from 3-point range. The Aurora, Ohio, native finished 12th in the league in points scored (695), 10th in assists (271) and 14th in 3-pointers (119) during the 2021 season. The 22-year-old helped Grizz Gaming to its first playoff appearance in franchise history and was selected as an Eastern Conference All-Star for the 2021 NBA 2K League All-Star Game.

Grizz Gaming owns the No. 12 and No. 38 overall picks in the NBA 2K League Draft, slated for Saturday, Feb. 26, at 5 p.m. CT on the NBA 2K League’s YouTube and Twitch Channels. AuthenticAfrican (Meyhar Ahmed-Hassan), JMoney (Jordan Martinez) and Spartxn (Josh McHatten) remain on the Grizz Gaming roster.
