Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell 2-1 in a best-of-three series against Hawks Talon GC (2-1) Wednesday night, moving to 0-2 on the regular season.

Kel (Mykel Wilson), who spent part of last season with Grizz Gaming, led Hawks Talon GC with 27 points on 11-of-14 shooting.
The second game looked like more of the same as the Hawks jumped out to a quick 11-4 lead. However, Grizz Gaming would go on a 10-0 run that led to a 14-14 tie after the opening frame. The game stayed close deep into the third quarter until Jrod (Justin Rodriguez) knocked down a three-pointer to take a 41-40 lead. Hawks Talon GC responded by closing the quarter on a 7-0 run. Grizz Gaming picked up the win on a 19-7 advantage in the fourth quarter, including 15 points from Vandi who finished with 31 for the game.
The rubber match saw a 17-7 second quarter propel Hawks Talon GC to a 75-57 victory. DDouble (Daniel Davis) recorded a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bp (Michael Diaz-Cruz) and Kel combined for 58 of the Hawks’ 75 points.
