Grizz Gaming drops first series in the Slam Open

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell to Mavs Gaming and 76ers GC as the team moves to 4-2 in the Slam Open.

Grizz Gaming dropped its first series of the Slam Open to Mavs Gaming, winning just one of four matchups. Mavs Gaming shot 100% from the field in both Game 2 and Game 4. Grizz Gaming shot 9-for-11, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc, in their Game 3 victory.

Grizz Gaming dropped the second half of the doubleheader, falling to 76ers GC in five games. Grizz Gaming fought back from an 0-2 deficit to force a Game 5 but came up short in the series finale. Grizz Gaming were able to secure a Game 3 win and get back in the series by forcing 76ers GC to an 0-3 effort shooting from beyond the arc, while making four of their seven attempts from deep.

Grizz Gaming returns to the court on Thursday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. CT to face off against DUX Infinitos after picking up a 3-0 series sweep over DUX last week.
