Grizz Gaming eliminated from ‘The Ticket’

Memphis, Tenn. – Grizz Gaming was eliminated from ‘The Ticket’, the third and final tournament of the NBA 2K League’s inaugural season, with a first round loss to Celtics Crossover Gaming (85-61). The teams traded buckets to start the game, but Celtics Crossover ended the opening frame on a 10-0 run to take a 20-10 lead into the second quarter and the team from Boston would only extend the lead from there.
DDouble2K (Daniel Davis) led Grizz Gaming in scoring (23 points), falling just one point shy of his career-high and just one rebounds shy of a double-double. AuthenticAfrican (Mehyar Ahmed-Hassan) recorded his seventh straight double-double (19 points, 12 assists) and 10th overall. The duo scored all 24 of the team’s first half points.
oFAB (Albano Thomallari) was up to his old tricks and posted a 33-point, 14-rebound performance, knocking down five three-pointers. MEL EAST (Ahmed Kasana) posted the league’s third triple-double (22 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) on 11-of-16 shooting. Speedbrook (Thomas Genaj) and Profusion (Alex Snowden) combined to 8-of-8 from the field.
