Grizz Gaming falls in overtime against Heat Check Gaming

Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell 2-0 in a best-of-three series against Heat Check Gaming Thursday night in the team’s second week of remote gameplay.

In Game Two, Grizz Gaming overcame a 57-47 deficit heading into the final frame to force overtime. The team had multiple leads in the extra period, but fell 79-73. Vandi (Zach Vandivier) nearly posted a double-double with 26 points and nine assists. Jrod (Justin Rodriguez) had a season-high 23 points and shot 6-of-9 from long range. GlennRatty (Glenn Wilkerson) led Heat Check Gaming with 35 points.

Grizz Gaming couldn’t overcome a hot start by Heat Check Gaming in Game One, falling 86-67. Vandi and G O O F Y 7 5 7 (Dayvon Curry) each recorded double-doubles. Vandi finished with 26 points and 10 assists while G O O F Y 7 5 7 added 18 points and 11 rebounds. GlennRatty again led Heat Check Gaming with 40 points and eight assists.
