Grizz Gaming falls to Pistons GT in 5v5 regular season finale

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, fell to Pistons GT 107-63 in the final game of the regular season in 5v5 play on Thursday night.

Ant SZN (Anthony Costanzo) totaled a game-high 53 points while shooting 20-for-33 from the field and connecting on 13-of-23 3-point attempts for Detroit. Ramo (Ramo Radoncic) posted a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Bagmotion (Ja’Ron Baylor) added 18 points and three assists.

JMoney (Jordan Martinez) posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds on 8-of-9 shooting to lead Grizz Gaming. Spartxn (Josh McHatten) added 14 points and eight assists while Jrod (Justin Rodriguez) added eight points and four assists.

Pistons GT outscored Grizz Gaming 28-13 in the second quarter to stretch its lead to 49-29 at the halftime break. Detroit kept their foot on the gas in the second half, outscoring Memphis’ squad 58-34 in the final 12 minutes. Pistons GT shot 65% from the field and outscored Grizz Gaming 72-18 from the 3-point line. Detroit’s squad racked up 30 assists and 19 steals.

Grizz Gaming returns to the court for 3v3 seeding weeks beginning Tuesday, July 19, at 6 p.m. CT when they meet Knicks Gaming. Fans can watch the game on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
