“We couldn’t be more excited with the way the draft went for us tonight. We had Spartan at the top of our list of power forwards and interviewed him on the first day teams were allowed to interview draft prospects. We were thrilled when he fell to us at 12,” said Lang Whitaker, Grizz Gaming General Manager and Head Coach. “Chess had a great rookie season last year with the Nets, and has dedicated himself to playing shooting guard this offseason, proving that he’s one of the best sharps in the world. We think he will be a perfect complement to Vandi in our backcourt. With the 32nd pick we got Follow, who was fantastic last season with the Hawks and is one of the best locks in the world. And with our 36th pick, we brought back DDouble, who has been with us all four seasons of the NBA 2K League, and is not only a versatile player who had a great offseason, but always brings great vibes.”
AuthenticAfrican (Meyhar Ahmed-Hassan) will return for his fourth season with Grizz Gaming while Vandi (Zach Vandivier) will enter his third season as the team’s point guard. The Grizz Gaming roster now stands at six players.
The complete schedule and further details for the 2021 NBA 2K League Season will be announced at a later date. The majority of regular season games will take place at the Grizz Gaming studio inside FedExForum and will be livestreamed on Twitch.
