Grizz Gaming selects two gamers in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft

Grizz Gaming Also Acquires 2024 First Round Draft Pick

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the Memphis Grizzlies’ NBA 2K League team, today selected two gamers in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft. The team selected Harry “CP” Friedman with the seventh overall pick (first round) and Brian “LogicStark” Lunsford with the 38th overall pick (second round), rounding out the roster for the 2023 NBA 2K League season. The team also added a 2024 first round pick in a draft night trade with Bucks Gaming.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add CP and Logic to our Grizz Gaming team,” said Grizz Gaming General Manager Lang Whitaker. “CP was at the top of our draft list, and to have him fall to us at the seventh pick felt fortuitous. Logic was someone we’ve been watching for years, who brings not only elite defense but also great offense. We can’t wait for Logic and CP to get to Memphis and to make their 2K League debuts with us this season.”

Grizz Gaming also picked up a future first round pick in a draft night trade with Bucks Gaming. Grizz Gaming sent the 23rd overall pick in the 2023 NBA 2K League Draft along with a 2024 second round pick originally belonging to Lakers Gaming to the Bucks. In return, the Bucks gave the Grizzlies the 38th overall pick in the 2023 draft, as well as a first round pick in the 2024 Draft. 

Spartxn (Josh McHatten), ReeseDaGod (Maurice Delaney) and Jrod (Justin Rodriguez) remain on the Grizz Gaming roster, which now stands at five players. The complete schedule and further details for the 2023 NBA 2K League Season will be announced at a later date. All games will be livestreamed on the NBA 2K League’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
