Team Completes Roster for 2020 NBA 2K League Season
Grizz Gaming, the Memphis Grizzlies’ NBA 2K League team, today selected two gamers in the third round of the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft. The team selected Jayrod (Justin Rodriguez) with the 45th overall pick and Joel Lazu (Lav) with the 54th overall pick to fill out the roster for the 2020 NBA 2K League season.
“We couldn’t be more excited to add two NBA 2K League veterans to our team,” said Grizz Gaming General Manager Lang Whitaker. “We know Jayrod from having him on the squad last season, of course, and Lav from when he gave us buckets last season with the Nets. They are both quality players and quality people, which is why we targeted them on our draft board from day one of our draft prep. Now we are going to get to work.”
AuthenticAfrican (Meyhar Ahmed-Hassan) and DDouble (Daniel Davis) return for their third season with Grizz Gaming, while Vandi (Zach Vandivier) and Jayrod will enter their second season with the club. Additionally, on Oct. 22, the team acquired G O O F Y 757 (Dayvon Curry) in a trade with Knicks Gaming. Curry led the league in rebounding last season and was a key cog on the league’s inaugural championship team. Lav spent the 2019 season with Nets GC where he averaged 15.8 points, 4.2 assists, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 15 regular season appearances.
