Grizz Gaming sweeps Mavs Gaming to conclude 3v3 regular season play

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, swept Mavs Gaming 3-0 Thursday night to conclude the 3v3 regular season seeding weeks. Grizz Gaming aims to punch its ticket to the 2022 NBA 2K League 3v3 playoffs by winning the Eastern Conference bracket of THE STEAL OPEN in the coming weeks.

Spartxn (Josh McHatten) led Grizz Gaming with nine points and three assists in Game 1. The Grizz capitalized on the glass, outrebounding Dallas 7-2 to get up five more shot attempts. Dallas was perfect from the field in Game 2 (7-7 FG) but Memphis outscored the Mavs 15-9 from 3-point range to help win the race to 21 points. Spartxn scored a team-high 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting. Grizz Gaming shot 90% from the field in Game 3 to secure the sweep, highlighted by JMoney’s (Jordan Martinez) eight points on 3-of-3 shooting.

Grizz Gaming returns to the court from Aug. 8-13 needing to secure three wins in the Eastern Conference bracket of THE TICKET to secure a playoff spot in the 2022 NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs. Grizz Gaming will face familiar foe Hawks Talon GC in the opening round. Game times and dates for THE TICKET will be announced at a later date.
