Grizz Gaming sweeps Warriors Gaming Squad on the stage in D.C.

Grizz Gaming Advances to Western Conference Finals of The TIPOFF Tournament

Memphis, Tenn. — Grizz Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, swept Warriors Gaming Squad in a best-of-3 series to advance to the Western Conference Finals of The TIPOFF tournament and hand Warriors Gaming their first loss of the 5v5 season.

Grizz Gaming outscored Warriors Gaming Squad 18-10 in the fourth quarter to win the first matchup of the series. Harry Friedman (CP) led Grizz Gaming, scoring 27 points after making 10 of his 14 shot attempts, including three makes from beyond the arc. Maurice Delaney (ReeseDaGod) added 14 points. Josh McHatten (Spartxn) scored seven. Grizz Gaming shot 63.2% from the field and limiting Warriors Gaming to 50%. 

CP recorded 33 points and 10 assists to help Grizz Gaming complete the series sweep in Game 2, scoring a go-ahead dunk and securing the win with a 3-pointer that gave the team a four-point lead with 16 seconds remaining. Justin Rodriguez (Jrod) scored a season-high 19 points and made seven of his eight shot attempts, including all five of his attempts from 3-point range. Artreyo Boyd (Dimez) tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.

Grizz Gaming will face off against T-Wolves Gaming on Friday, June 15, at 5:15 p.m. CT in a best-of-3 series. The winner of the series will move on to face the winner of Gen.G Tigers and 76ers GC in The TIPOFF Championship.
