Grizz Gaming takes third win in four games, routs Bucks Gaming

In its first of two games this weekend, Grizz Gaming picked up its largest win of the season with a 73-63 rout of Bucks Gaming in Week 8 action, leading by as many as 27. It marks the third win in the team’s last four games and is the first time this season the team has picked up consecutive wins.

The team’s 73 points tied a franchise-high and the team set new franchise highs for field goals made (33) and field goal percentage (.660) while shooting 19-of-26 (.731) from the field in the first half.

The Grizz were in control from the opening tip, starting the game on a 12-4 run and leading 20-13 after the first quarter. After leading 27-20 in the second frame, Memphis’ team closed the half on a 15-2 run to take a 42-22 lead into halftime.

AuthenticAfrican (Mehyar Ahmed-Hassan) knocked down his first 11 shots (14-18 FG) on his way to a 29-point, 11-assist performance. Ahmed-Hassan is averaging 14.6 assists in his last five outings. UniversalPhenom (Antonio Saldivar) and Daniel Davis (DDouble2K) held things down in the post, combining for 30 points and 14 rebounds on 14-of-23 shooting. Saldivar finished with 16 points and five rebounds while Davis was one rebound shy of a double-double (14 points, nine rebounds). ayeTHREAT (Troy Minott II) scored 11 points and set a Grizz Gaming record with four steals.

Game6Drake (Aaron Rookwood) led the Bucks Gaming attack with 19 points and seven assists. KinG PeroXide (Matthew Hofmann) chipped in with 17 points and eight rebounds. oLARRY (Timothy Anselimo) had 15 points and five rebounds.
