NBA 2K League announces 2019 season games

The NBA 2K League today announced its schedule of regular-season games for its second season, which will stream live on Twitch.  The 16-week season features both weekly regular season games and tournaments, running from the start of April through mid-July and followed by the NBA 2K League Playoffs and Finals.  All competition takes place from the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City.

For the regular season opener, Grizz Gaming will open with Mavs Gaming on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m. CT.  Teams play weekly games during three time windows to provide convenient viewing for both domestic and international audiences: Wednesdays from 4-9 p.m. CT, Thursdays from 4-9 p.m. CT and Fridays from 7-9 p.m. CT. For the full schedule of regular-season games, visit NBA2KLeague.com.

The 2019 season will mark the return of the three in-season tournaments: THE TIPOFF, THE TURN and THE TICKET. Grizz Gaming will open its 2019 season at THE TIPOFF with games against expansion club T-Wolves Gaming on Wednesday, April 3 at 4 p.m. CT and then play Wizards District Gaming immediately following in its second game of pool play.

Identical to the 2018 season, there will be four opportunities throughout the season for teams to win prize money in total of $1.2 million: three tournaments and the 2019 NBA 2K League Playoffs. THE TIPOFF tournament will have a prize pool of $120,000. THE TURN and THE TICKET will each feature a prize pool of $180,000. The 2019 NBA 2K League Playoffs will have a total prize pool of $720,000, with the NBA 2K League champions receiving $360,000 from that pool.
