Memphis, Tenn. — The NBA 2K League today announced that Grizz Gaming point guard Zach “Vandi” Vandivier has been named NBA 2K Player of the Week for Week 1 of the 2021 season. This marks the first time in franchise history that a Grizz Gaming player has won Player of the Week.

Vandi led Grizz Gaming to a 3-1 record in Week 1 with averages of 31.0 points, 9.0 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 60 percent from 3-point range. The Aurora, Ohio native started all 41 games for Grizz Gaming in 2020, holding averages of 30.1 points, 7.7 assists and 2.1 steals while shooting 55.7 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from 3-point range. Vandi scored a career-high 54 points in a 90-69 series-clinching win over Nets GC on July 15, 2020. He totaled at least 30 points in 23 of Grizz Gaming’s 41 regular season games last season. His 30.9 points per game in the regular season was good for eight-best in the 2K League in 2020 and ranks 11th in a single-season in NBA 2K League history.
